Preston Kane brings a strong foundation in residential construction, building design and operational leadership to his role as General Manager at Design Australia Group.
With extensive knowledge of construction methodology, buildability, technical documentation and the practical demands of residential project delivery, Preston plays a key role in connecting DAG’s design capability with the realities of construction. His understanding of how decisions made during the design and documentation process directly impact estimating, site delivery, compliance, programme and commercial outcomes makes him an important link between designers, builders and the broader construction process.
As General Manager, Preston oversees the day-to-day performance of the business, working closely with DAG’s leadership team to strengthen operational systems, project delivery, technical standards and team performance. He is particularly focused on creating clarity across workflows, improving accountability and ensuring projects move efficiently from initial design through to construction documentation.
Preston’s leadership style is practical, considered and solutions-focused. He brings a strong construction lens to decision-making, with an emphasis on identifying issues early, improving buildability and ensuring documentation is accurate, coordinated and genuinely works in the real world.
